"American English" really is the best way to put it. I love burley blends, and I love English blends, so it would've been a real surprise if I didn't love this too. The Oriental, Latakia, & Perique are in a great balance on top of the Burley & Virgina base, it's an ensemble cast that really comes together nicely. This is an instant classic for me, a perfect middle path for when I can't make up my mind what to smoke.

I really liked this blend. It gives one the feeling of being on the coast of Maine. Maine's coast has a different feel and smell to it than any other coastline. A great combination of earthy mountain smells and flavors with the sea laden winds. A good smoke to read and write with, walk in the woods or for sitting under the big oak tree enjoying the day / evening.

This blend will forever be in my memory. from the first whiff, to the last puff. A time of days gone by, when you could walk the woods and smell the freshly fallen leaves, and then in spring after the leaves have turned to soil. Cool, brisk mornings. Yet a warm comfort of the pipe in your hands as you smell the billowings of the fireplace. All this in one little bowl.

Received this as part of the English Sampler. It started pretty smooth and for me seemed to increase as I smoked.The nutty burley and the latakia were present throughout the smoke and the others made their presence known. This would be one I'd buy again.
