Cornell & Diehl Bulk: ENGINE 99

I found that I must compare the Engine 99 blend and other robust English styles to single malt whiskeys the ones that are strong on natural flavours, no toppings, and some english styles are easily comparable too a good robust medicinal style Islay Single Malt Whiskey. The peaty salty iodine Islay malts are the go, mate, so that has also determined the type and style of English Blends I prefer, Engine 99 I feel is up there with the best of the recognised full English blends, it has a consistant flavour, down to the dottle, it's robust and complex, a full and flavoursome tobacco mix with a good mouth feel, a good nic hit but not over the top, a real good all day smoke, that I really can't fault, There are other robust full English Blends I do like but 99 is my go too blend, 5 stars in my humble book. Medium in strength. Has a creaminess to it. Very nice smoke. Definitely worth a try.

Has a little bit of everything in it, very creamy, cool long lasting smoke. One of my favorite blends!

This is the best tobacco with latakia. It should always be there. I ordered more. There should be a lot of it for every pipe-maker.

This is a well-blended English with a lot of Latakia and the right balance of Turkish and other tobaccos. It's consistently flavorful and enjoyable if you like a real full English. It happens to have some stems or poorly cut leaf mixed in most of the time, and I have to pick that stuff out because it doesn't pack well in the bowl. Burn is easy and fairly slow. A workhorse.
