Initially, I took Oak Alley from the tin and was less than impressed. It smoked hot and slightly bitter. I rubbed some out and left it for weeks in the tin. Oak Alley smokes better with drying time, but that stated, it's still a blend that can smoke hot and needs the attention of a slow pace. It definitely has forthright Vit. N. as a consolation. Relights well, but has a mild bitterness even when drier. It may improve with age or it may just be me.
I'll try blending in some Perique.
