The flakes are very soft and not as compressed as many other flakes, which makes folding and lighting easy. I get notes of hay, roasted nuts, and a slight aroma of freshly washed clothes (which tastes awesome, by the way), and a subtle sweetness. The taste reminds me a little of dark fired flakes, but without the strength. The smoke itself is rather mild, with a relatively low nicotine content. I highly recommend this of you're new to flakes because of how easy it is to prepare it and the strength is not overwhelming. If you would like to try those soapy lakeland or Irish tobaccos, I would highly recommend to try this first.
