‘Mac Baren HH Pure Virginia’ is pure, high class Virginia. Thin, beautifully presented, superlative flake that smells delightful in the tin. HH Pure Virginia is middle-of-the-road in a king-of-the-road way and with a clean depth it’s easy to enjoy. There’s creamy smoothness, background sweetness and medium yet assertive nicotine strength, all of which are accentuated by patient sipping. This isn’t Capstan Blue, but it’s in the very same league and far less expensive. Should cellar really well – but I’ll never know. I’m incredibly impressed! Deserves more than five stars. Wonderful!
