Was very dry out of the tin. Smells awesome but couldn’t taste anything but hot air when smoked even slowly. Maybe was a bad batch
Right from the opening of the tin, I knew this was to be a special smoke. The aroma itself was so delicious that I was tempted to eat it, this to me is the start of a beautiful relationship. It packs well, lights well, tastes awesome, smokes well(without hardly any re-lights), and is so good taht I will always keep it in my rotation amd might just give it an extra smoke here and there...it is well worth it. It also smokes mild with no tongue bite, and the room note is fabulous...compliments all around. This one is a WINNER in my book, and has now prompted me to try the whole line of DAN TOBACCOS. If this is any evidence than I will not be dissapointed. If I could rate this one a "6", I would :)
If you first open the tin, try not to eat it. I'm not a fan of aromatics, but this smells and tastes so delicious that I could smoke it every day, if it was not out of stock so often, that is. This mixture is mostly Black Cavendish, with a tiny amount of bright yellow Virginia. The dominant aroma is wild berries. The flavour is not overpowering and compliments the tobacco very well. The aroma is very consistent, and towards the end of the pipe, I get a subtle flavour of tobacco. You should really take your time with this, because the tobacco tends to get slightly bitter and loses a lot of this exceptionally pleasant aroma.
