In the world of pipe smoking there are a million different choices and a million different opinions. One persons trash is another persons treasure and one persons review will (sometimes) leave you thinking really? In the case of Fillmore all I can say is that I have been a pipe smoker for over 30 years. I've tried excellent tobacco, good, average and.. are you kidding me tobacco. Fillmore is one hell of an awesome pipe tobacco!!! I like to sit and think a lot. Fillmore is usually my companion. In the world of Va/Per's I rate it the best (only my opinion of course - and there are a million out there) It has a rich creamy flavour that comes with just enough twist of perique pepper. Like Tomatoes on toast too much pepper and - yuck. Not enough and ooohhh. There is a perfect combination of Virginia and perique to give this tobacco a life of its own. Calming, meditative and very, very tasteful. For a medium strength tobacco it carries a good smack of Nic and never scours your mouth. Sipped it is a delightful friend that carries a good presence from its aroma on opening to its last gasp. Everyone's opinion is different. Everyone's opinion matters. My opinion is: If I were on a desert island and I could choose a lifetime supply of tobacco for my trusted Falcon then this would be it.
