I’ve dabbled with Penny Farthing off and on for a few years but wasn’t a big fan. It’s not that I didn’t like it, I just didn’t know how to properly smoke it. Now I have it almost everyday. My jar travels with me daily just in case. IMO the tin note is heavenly. The VA’s are nice with a bit of a tang and the Perique gives it a nice dark fruit scent and when lit it has a beautiful bready aroma. It has a bit of sweetness from the VA’s, the Perique has like a raisin/plum flavor with a little spice and the the dark KY gives it more spice and a nice kick. It’s perfect with some hot black tea or coffee and my morning commute.

I've got a couple of Vauen Mini's and this makes for a really nice walk with the dogs. It's cut like Five Brothers but smokes without the horror.

Wonderful little kicker of a shag, a cut uncharacteristic of C&D-made products. Both virginias are no slouch, with the DFK playing around in the bottom adding body and dimension. Good depth here. Add to that an excellent hit of perique and you've got a sturdy va/per that works well for me during the workday. You'll need a decent amount of time to dry it out, though, and that's the one drawback.
